Bedgebury Riding School - Holidays in the Weald of Kent

The Riding Centre offers holiday courses throughout the year. These can be for a long weekend, mid-week
break or as long as required and the content of each holiday is tailored to meet individual requirements.
Lessons are available for riders of all standards whther they wish to compete seriously or just enjoy the superb riding in Bedgebury Forest. Holiday courses consist of three rides and one lecture per day.
Swimming and tennis are available at no extra cost during the school holiday period. English lessons can be arranged for an extra charge. We can also arrange transport to and from airports/railway stations.
Bridle Rides Ltd
Bridle Rides offers a riding holiday package to help you and a few friends ride your own horses on the bridleways of England and Wales (there aren't any in Scotland). You ride 15-20 miles a day at your own speed, mostly off-road and stay overnight in farmhouse accommodation with coarse mix and grazing for your horse.
Our bed, breakfast and evening meal package remains at £65 per person per person per night for 2007. There are a few extras to add on including stabling, and there are also discounts eg. non-riders in your party and evening meals taken in a local pub.
Cobham Manor
Due to our superb rural location in the heart of the Kent countryside and our close proximity to many Kent attractions, including Leeds Castle and the Museum of Kent Life, as well as London, we are well placed to offer short break or longer adult riding holidays.
Around Cobham Manor equestrian centre are many ancient Kentish villages, steeped in culture and heritage, each with its own unique character.

With the ability to cater for riders at every level, from absolute beginner to serious competitor, we are able to offer riding holidays that will ensure enjoyment and satisfaction.
A typical 5 day programme
Day One:
3 riding lessons, stable management.
Day Two:
Stable management, one lesson, picnic hack.
Day Three:
Stable management and either beach ride in the winter or South Downs picnic ride in the Summer.
Day Four:
Trip to Leeds Castle or similar attraction.
Day Five:
Show and extravaganza
Cost
We can do weekend breaks, 5 or 7 day holidays.
The cost is £100 per day, which we believe offers excellent value.
Evening activities can be arranged, cinema, swimming etc...

Cullinghood - Riding Holidays
RIDING HOLIDAYS IN ROYAL BERKSHIRE, AN AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY
Herons Farm is the sort of place where time has stood still, offering peace and tranquility.
The Large 18th century farmhouse offers a cosy lifestyle with delicious home cooking. We have a heated outdoor swimming pool which is secluded within a walled garden, plus lawns and old fashioned flower beds.
Herons is a working model farm, with cattle and horses. We have a traditional mews stable complex, a 17th century tithe barn, a listed octagonal barn, full size all-weather arenas (25m x 50m & 40m x 60m), plus extra schooling areas, jumping paddocks and cross country course. The onsite parkland hacking has outstanding views coupled with the woodland and extensive bridleways close by, you will find us hard to beat.

A typical day consists of feeding and grooming the horses and ponies, tacking up, and about 3 hours riding - all under instruction. We mix all this up with swimming, games, films, picnics, barbecues, ball games and walks, so the day and evening are as full as you want them to be. Those looking for a less energetic day may relax instead - it's your holiday: just tell us what you want.
We can accept mixed abilities and ages. Beginners will not ride with the more experienced, and some of the social activities will be split by age.
Forest Farm Carriage Driving & Holiday Accommodation
Forest Farm’ is owned and run by Pippa Jarman, ably assisted by Debbie Butler. It has superb facilities for horses, carriage drivers and riders, and hosts Competitions and Fun Days for all standards. Its Self-Catering Accommodation Units are equally popular with Visitors not interested in horses, as with those who bring their own. Well behaved dogs are also welcome.
Carriage Driving Courses with your own turnout. Debbie and Pippa are themselves successful competitors at National level, both in Driving Trials and Showing, and are popular Instructors. International Trainers are also regularly invited to the Centre to conduct Clinics.
You may choose to be escorted on drives of varying lengths through the New Forest Enclosures, or there are maps covering the whole area are available for visitors’ use.
Milford-on-Sea is a delightful coastal village, and the heath and woodland is only a few miles away. The tranquillity of the area and the central location of ‘Forest Farm’ make it an ideal base from which to sightsee or just relax. For horse owners it is a quiet and private venue in which to enjoy your sport, whether training or riding/driving just for pleasure.

Stoke Lyne Farm Cottages
Beautiful self catering accommodation set in a peaceful rural location, superbly situated in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Stoke Lyne Farm Cottages have two stables available to accommodate two horses. There is plenty of off road hacking around and the village is the start of the Jubilee Ride, which is a nine mile circular route using bridleways and quiet roads, through farmland, woods and parkland. This also links with the Claude Duval Bridle Route at Bainton. This 50 mile trail connects The Sabrina Way in Gloucestershire to The Swans Way in Buckinghamshire, which is part of a national bridle route network.
Unicorn Traills
An easy train journey or drive from London, South Harting a lovely old downland village with lots of attractive walks and there is the added bonus of sea views (about 8 miles South) from the top of the downs. With buzzards on the hills and many species of wild flowers across the pastures there is a complete air of peace and quiet.
Your hostess, Joyce, is an avid endurance rider who regularly competes on her horses so the horses are fit and responsive. After long hours in the saddle you will be accommodated in one of the two guest bedrooms at the farmhouse, both with either twin or double beds, one ensuite or in the peak season nearby bed and breakfast with dinner taken at the farmhouse (you will be notified if this is the case). Good home cooking with meat purchased from the local farmer and vegetables from the nearby market / local suppliers. Joyce has two enthusiastically friendly dogs who love to be made a fuss of but are old enough to keep quiet.
Sample itinerary
Friday
Arrive Friday evening, dinner, relaxing glass of wine and bed.
Saturday
After breakfast you will ride across the Downs at a good pace for 4-6 hours stopping for a pub lunch / picnic en route. In the evening we enjoy a leisurely dinner with wine and discuss the days events.
Sunday
The following day will be a half day riding, again with long canters unless otherwise arranged
