The Polesden Lacey Festival Orchestra presented and conducted by Jonathan Butcher
For 2009 The Polesden Lacey Festival Orchestra is returning to celebrate that english of english traditions; The Last Night of the Proms. Highlights will include Handel's Water Music and Mendelssohn's Incidental Music from A Midsummer Night's Dream. And not forgetting those last night favourites Land of Hope and Glory, the famous Sea Songs and Jerusalem, plus music from Oklahoma, topped off with a spectacular fireworks display. So pack your picnic and dust off your flags!
