Route Description The main routes is approx 9 miles, but with shortcuts from north to south and east to west, there are a number of varied option avaialble. The Jubliee Ride also llnks with the Claude Duval Bridleroute at Bainton
Terrain Details The route takes in farmland, woods and parkland in the mainly flat countryside to the north of Bicester
Additional Info / Warnings The Jubilee Ride links to The Claude Duval Bridleroute at Bainton. This 50 mile trail connects the Sabrina Way at Great Barrington in Gloucestershire to the Swan's Way at Quainton in Buckinghamshire. It is named after an infamous highwayman who roamed this area in the mid seventeenth century. The route is part of a national bridleroute network being developed under the British Horse Society's Ride UK initiative. You can find out more at www.ride-uk.org.uk and www.bhs.org.uk.
Access Info / Public Transport The main route starts and finishes in Stoke Lyne and runs anti-clockwise. Horsebox Parking is now available at Lower Farm, Stoke Lyne (north end of the village, just after the Peyton Arms). There is room for several vehicles, ?4 charge. Please ring in advance - Mrs Adams (01869) 345306. Horsebox parking is no longer available at Home Farm, Bainton or The Peyton Arms, Stoke Lyne. There is room for up to three horseboxes at Hethe Village Hall car park (shortly before the turn for the east-west shortcut) ?4 charge. Please ring in advance - Mr May 01869 278720.
