Days out in and around Ardingly
Pages: 1
There are many ways to enjoy the Ardingly area.
A visit to the National Trust’s Nyman Gardens with lunch at the local pub can be combined with a walk around the Garden estate to view the area’s woodlands, sandstone outcrops and hammer ponds.
A walk around the Standen estate or a visit to the house can be combined with early morning or late afternoon bird watching from the hide on the edge of Weirwood Reservoir.
A walk along the High Weald Landscape Trail between Ardingly and West Hoathly (or vice versa) works up an appetite for lunch. The Priest House, a traditional timber–framed building and the picturesque churchyard justifies a longer stop at West Hoathly.
