Description:

Ancient flower-filled meadows, fringed with old hedgerows and alive with butterflies and birdsong.

These lovely expanses of Oxfordshire grasslands, near Otmoor, harbour rare communities of national and local botanical gems including maroon-flowered great burnet, meadow foxtail grass, ragged-robin and tubular water-dropwort.

Listen out for skylarks, grasshopper warbler, blackcap, yellowhammer and curlews in the breeding season.
